DealWolf (Turkish brand name: FiyatKurdu) is a browser extension that shows price history for supported listings on sahibinden.com and arabam.com. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains what data the extension processes, how it is used, and how it is protected.
What the extension does
DealWolf runs only when you visit supported listing pages on:
- sahibinden.com
- arabam.com
When a supported listing page is detected, the extension analyzes visible listing information and displays price history in a sidebar panel.
Data the extension processes
Data collected from listing pages
DealWolf may collect and process data that is already visible on the listing page, including:
- Listing URL
- Listing ID (if present in the URL)
- Price and currency
- Timestamp of the scrape
- Listing attributes needed to make price history meaningful, such as:
- Title
- Category
- Brand / model
- Year
- Mileage
- Condition
- Location
- Other visible listing fields depending on the page
This data is used only to compute and display price history.
Data stored locally on your device
The extension stores the following locally using browser storage:
- A randomly generated install ID and secret, used to authenticate this specific extension installation with our backend API
- Cached price history results
- "Recently scraped" markers to avoid repeated submissions of the same listing
This data does not identify you personally and is not shared with third parties.
Backend processing and data sharing
DealWolf sends supported listing data to our backend server in order to:
- Store historical price information
- Compute price history trends
- Retrieve price history to display to you
Important clarifications:
- We only process data that is technically required to provide the price history feature
- We do not collect personal user information
- We do not track users across websites
- All collected data comes from pages you intentionally visit on supported sites
You control usage of the extension by installing or uninstalling it and by choosing whether or not to visit supported listing pages.
Permissions used (plain-language explanation)
DealWolf requests the following permissions:
- tabs — to understand which tab is active and detect when you are viewing a supported listing page
- webNavigation — to detect navigation events to supported listing pages
- storage — to store local settings, cache, and technical identifiers
- alarms — to periodically clean up local cache data
- Host permissions — limited strictly to:
- *.sahibinden.com
- *.arabam.com
The extension does not run on other websites.
Data retention
Local data
- Cached data is stored locally on your device
- Local cache is automatically cleaned periodically or can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser storage
Server-side data
- Listing data is retained on our servers to provide long-term price history
- Since this data does not contain personal user information, it may be stored indefinitely to improve historical accuracy
Security
- All communication between the extension and our backend servers is encrypted using HTTPS
- We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect stored data
- Access to backend systems is restricted and monitored
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
